1.) Make Sure Your Diet To Lose Weight Restricts Calories (But Not Too Much!)

If you want to lose weight you really do need to restrict your calories – but be careful! Many popular diet plans force you to restrict calories to such an extent that you will find your body fat percentage actually increases, not to mention the fact that these types of severely restrictive “quick fix” diets are notoriously difficult to stick to.

It is much more effective to follow a plan that restricts calories a small amount, or ideally a plan that utilizes a rotational strategy for calorie restriction – the zig-zag diet method is one such system, as used in our own 30 Day Diet program.

2.) Make Sure Your Diet To Lose Weight Contains Only Foods You Enjoy Eating

This is pure common sense – eat more of what you like and less of what you don’t and you will find that sticking to your diet is much, much easier. Now, when I say this – I don’t mean fill your days eating burgers and chips – be sensible! Another tip is to make sure you fill your meals with plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables, so if you don’t like these types of foods try to at least get into the habit of eating them – you’ll thank me later, both from a weight loss perspective and a health one!

3.) Make Sure Your Diet To Lose Weight Focuses On Regular Meals

By eating regular meals you can encourage your metabolism to stay elevated throughout the day. Little and often is the motto here – that way, even if your calories are overly restricted, you give yourself a good chance of stopping your body’s natural starvation response from kicking in and causing you to store more fat.
